Answers Better Than Our Prayers

Although God*s answers are sometimes exactly what we pray for, they are often far better than what we pray for. When they are exactly what we pray for it means that the Holy Spirit was guiding our prayers and we were praying according to His will. But when His answers are better than our prayers, we should not be surprised because He knows best.

Romans 8:26: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

When God*s answers to my prayers are often not exactly what I prayed for, here is the reason why:

Ephesians 3:17-21: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Philippians 4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We should expect His answers to be better than our prayers. When He says Yes to one of my prayers the answer is often different and better than what I prayed. He shows us that He knows best when He answers our prayers a little differently than we prayed them. And I love being reminded that He knows best and does best. When He says No to my prayers, He still loves me and He knows best. When he says Wait to my prayers it is because He knows the best time to answer them.
